philosophy
“Play is the highest expression of human development in childhood for it alone is the free expression of what is in a child soul. Play is the highest level of child development... It gives... joy, freedom, contentment, inner and outer rest, peace with the world... The plays of childhood are the germinal leaves of all later life.”
—Friedrich Froebel.

little town is an early childhood education center that focuses on stimulating different growth areas in each child.
We believe every child’s development is unique and complex. Although children develop through a generally predictable sequence of steps, they may not proceed through these steps in the same war or at the same as others. Every child has their own pace and rythm when it comes to their development. A child’s development is also greatly influenced by factors in his or her environment and the experiences he or she has.
Our experienced teaching staff embraces the veiw that each child is a unique person with an individual pattern and timing of social, physical, and intellectual development.
teachers manifest their respect for children by encouraging them to think for themselves, develop problem-solving skills and express their own ideas and feelings.
We recognize and foster an active partnership between home and school.
Little Town strives to create a learning environment where our students feel nurtured, safe and at ease. Whit this type of environment our students are encouraged to develop social skills, independence and a positive self-image.
It is our purpose to provide each student an environment where they will play, interact and socialize with one another while learning.
All learning activities at little town are presented through play.
little town’s programs consist of small and large group activities, wich facilitate development in language, fine motor and gross motor, cognitive skills in reading, math and social skills.
There is a balance of child-directed and teacher-directed activities, which are included throughout the day. The little town team coordinates daily activities that ensure all areas of child development are adressed.
